Eligible employees will be able to begin using the statewide Paid Family and Medical Leave program after Jan. 1, 2020. This is one of the largest components of the state’s leave program.
Employers should encourage workers to create their personalized accounts with the Employment Security Department after Jan. 1. Workers will need to create new Paid Family and Medical Leave accounts. This is where they will submit documentation, apply for and receive their wages if they are approved by the department for leave.
