The Department of Labor & Industries will hold additional listening sessions on a revised version of the overtime and salary threshold employment rules for executive, administrative and professional (EAP) workers. The new, revised rules will be released in the next few weeks and will reflect the initial feedback the department received on the pre-draft rules.

As employers in hospitality, our feedback to the department is very important. Changes to these rules could impact our workforce and career ladder in hospitality. The listening sessions are scheduled for 2.5 hours and begin with a 30-minute overview of the rules and timeline. The bulk of the meeting is intended for you to provide input.

The Washington Hospitality Association Government Affairs Team will assist you if you would like to attend one of the meetings and provide feedback. We will provide you with an update when the revised rules are released.
