As of early Thursday, there have been more than two million ballots counted in this year’s Nov. 6th general election and there are still more than 700,000 left to count. According to the Washington Secretary of State, voter turnout is expected to reach 75% or more. Currently, Initiative 1634 – Yes! To Affordable Groceries is ahead in the polls, which is a win for our industry! Being one of a few states that votes entirely by mail, we do not have the instant results that some other states may have and many of the races are still too close to call.

We supported this initiative throughout the campaign and would like to thank you for your support in keeping groceries affordable for everyone.
