January 2023 amendments to Washington’s Equal Pay Opportunity Act (EPOA) require employers with more than 15 employees to include specific information in any job postings: pay ranges, benefits, and other compensation.
Not meeting strict requirements risks a lawsuit seeking actual $5000 or actual damages from any applicant – not just hired employees. Catharine Morisset, an employment law attorney from Fisher Phillips, will walk attendees through requirements and strategies to avoid class-action lawsuits surrounding this new law and other job posting rules.
