The Homeless Rights Ordinance has seen considerable back and forth, including a two-week deferral followed by an indefinite deferral. Now, a series of roundtables is planned. During a press conference on Sept. 5, Council President Betsy Wilkerson announced that the City Council, the Human Rights Commission and various community groups will host these discussions. The first roundtable will take place on Sept. 10. This initial meeting will focus on reviewing existing ordinances, clarifying their impact and discussing areas for improvement.
