The FICA Gratuity Credit is a federal program that allows eligible businesses to recover all the FICA taxes (Social Security and Medicare taxes) paid on tip earnings that exceed the federal minimum wage.
Eligibility:
- Businesses that receive tips from customers
- The tips are documented as wages, and the appropriate FICA taxes were paid on them
