Public Safety is a top issue for many Tacoma operators. Your local government affairs team has been meeting with city staff, council members, partner stakeholders and the Tacoma Police Department to see how we can partner to enhance public safety in Tacoma.

This past week several hospitality association members met with Chief Avery L. Moore, Community engagement Manager Bervin Smith and Captain Corey Darling who heads the community liaison officer program. We had a productive conversation about actions we can take to partner together. First and foremost, reach out and meet the community liaison officer assigned to your zone. Chief Moore, Captain Darlington and their team are interested in scheduling meetings at local hospitality member locations to meet and discuss issues in the community.
