Seattle mayor announces small business relief package

Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan has announced a small business relief package to streamline permitting processes and cut some duplicate fees for small businesses. Under the plan, a small business permit facilitator will be hired to focus on expediting the permitting process for small businesses.

House and Senate budget drafts released

Washington House and Senate Democrats on Monday released separate supplemental state budget plans, modifying the $52.4 billion 2019-21 state operating budget approved last spring. The $1.1 billion budget surplus likely means no new big taxes, according to our State Government Affairs Team.
