Kent City Council passes plastic bag ordinance

On Aug. 20 the Kent City Council unanimously passed a single-use plastic bag ban that will take effect on March 1, 2020. Restaurants are exempted from the ban. According to the city’s website, Kent is the 30th local government in the state to pass a plastic bag ban. Learn more here.
