Enforcement of new food rules begins next week

Local health inspectors have been focused on education, rather than enforcement, since changes to the state food code went into effect on March 1. This “educational period” is coming to an end on Aug. 31, so be sure to check out our Quick Bites toolkit, which has all the information you need to make sure you’re in compliance with the new food rules.

Labor & Industries has updated its Job Safety and Health Law poster. Employees now have up to 90 days to file a complaint if they believe they were fired for filing a safety-related complaint.
