2017 Legislature Now in Session: School Funding Tops Agenda

The 2017 legislative session began on Monday. Your Washington Hospitality Association’s government affairs team is hard at work looking out for your interests. As we expected, the top item on the Legislature’s agenda is full funding of public schools in order to comply with the State Supreme Court’s McCleary decision. Don’t Miss Washington Tourism Summit, Jan 24

Join the Washington Tourism Alliance for a day of tourism advocacy focused on our efforts to secure long-term funding for Washington state tourism marketing and promotion. The WTA is well positioned to move forward with the pursuit of legislatively establishing a long-term funding model for a state-wide sustainable tourism program. This event is on Friday, Jan. 24, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., at Olympia’s Washington Center for the Performing Arts, and the focus is on lobbying your legislators to support tourism funding.
