Primary Election 2017: Spokane City Council Results

The Spokane Chapter of the Washington Hospitality Association endorsed Matthew Howes for Spokane City Council District 3. On Aug. 1, Howes earned enough votes to move him onto the November General Election. He will face Candace Mumm for the seat.

Spokane City Council Primary Election Results (As of Aug. 2, 2017):
City Council District 1: Kate Burke (43.80%),  Tim Benn (36.73%)
City Council District 2: Breean Beggs (54.68%), Andy Dunau (23.48%)
City Council District 3: Candace Mumm (53.50%), Matthew Howes (29.86%)

Howes’ restaurant, Adelo’s Pizza, Pasta & Pints, has been a part of the Spokane community landscape for about 10 years. The Spokane Chapter co-chairs said Howes is familiar with the issues local business owners face and will be an advocate for issues that matter to hospitality business owners in the Spokane area.
