Get Started Spokane

Washington’s hospitality sector is full of small businesses that are the financial backbone of our state economy. These businesses provide career opportunities, a pipeline of entry into the workforce and give back to their communities. Fifty percent of restaurants close or change hands every year and are constantly impacted by changing regulations.

For these reasons, the City of Spokane is working in partnership with the State of Washington, Spokane County Health District and the restaurant community to help aspiring entrepreneurs start and operate their own restaurants with a new initiative called Get Started Spokane. This new initiative features a website that provides information to help you develop a clear business plan, find the right location before signing a lease, make sure you have completed all registration, licensing and permitting requirements and a final prep right before you open your doors. This website also helps existing restaurants stay up to date with ongoing reporting, filing and inspections. Find the Get Started Spokane website here.
